There has been a mandatory change to the Michigan Fair Employment posting.

The Michigan Fair Employment poster has been updated to reflect new language regarding

individuals with disabilities. The revised posting added that individuals with disabilities

needing accommodations for employment must notify their employers in writing within

182 days. This is a mandatory change.

Regulatory language regarding this posting: The Michigan Department of Civil Rights

added additional information to the Michigan Fair Employment poster. The revision

includes that a person(s) with disabilities needing accommodations for employment must

notify their employers in writing within 182 days. This information was previously

enacted under the Michigan Persons with Disabilities Civil Rights Act (Act 220) of 1976.
