Texas State Payday Labor Poster Has Been Updated

The State of Texas has changed the Payday Poster, this new change has been updated to include the information regarding unemployment insurance, and how employees can file for unemployment insurance benefits. 

In order for someone to qualify for the unemployment benefits in Texas, they must have worked in Texas for the past 12 to 18 months, as well as a minimum amount of wages. They must also be able to work, available to work, and they must be looking for work, each week that they are requesting benefits.

The Effective date is: April, 2015

The Federal law requires that all businesses with employees hang a compliance poster in plain sight.

The State of Texas requires documents that include:

Hazard Communication Act, Payday Notice, Workers Compensation, Equal Opportunity, Whistleblower Protection, Notification of Ombudsman Program 

The Federal Labor Law requires documents that include:

OSHA, NLRA, Employee Protection, Min Wage, USERRA, Equal Opportunity, FMLA

This poster meets the requirements for all eligible businesses in Texas.
