Make sure you are labor law compliant in Maryland with new Minimum Wage, Fair Employment, and Child Labor Poster changes

The Maryland state poster has been updated to reflect changes which include Minimum Wage, Fair Employment, and Child Labor Laws

In accordance with the Maryland Minimum Wage Act of 2014, the minimum wage will increase to $8.25 an hour beginning July 1, 2015. It will increase again to $8.75 an hour on July 1, 2016, $9.25 an hour on July 1, 2017, and to $10.10 an hour on July 1, 2018.

In accordance with the Fairness for All Marylanders Act, an individual’s gender identity is now a protected classification effective October, 2014.

Child Labor posting changes include the authorization of a parent or guardian of a minor to apply for a work permit online. In addition, it authorizes the Commissioner of Labor to issue a work permit under specific circumstances. The effective compliance date for this update is October 2014.

The Labor Law Poster Store's Maryland State and Federal All-In-One Labor Law Poster will be updated accordingly.
